There are no refunds, credits or friend/ family transfers on entries. We do not mail shirts or medals to participants unable to make the event as left over shirts are donated.
Description
The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.
We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The post race party will be hopping with dozens of vendors and live music!

2026 The winner of the Race to Space Half Marathon will receive $500 establishing the new course record. Beginning in 2027 the course record for both men and women will reset at $100 and increase $100 each year after that the record is isn't broken.
PACKET PICKUP
Packet Pickup will be at RunningLane on Friday March 20th from 11-6PM.

There will be packet pickup on SATURDAY (race morning) March 21st, 2026 from 6-6:45am for the 5K. If you live locally please please please make sure you pick up on Friday as the race will start at 7:00am sharp and there may be long lines!

There will be packet pickup on SUNDAY (race morning) March 22nd, 2026 from 5:45-6:45am. If you live locally please please please make sure you pick up early in the week as the race will start at 7:00am sharp and there may be long lines!
SHIRTS & AWARDS & CUTOFFS
We will have a long sleeve technical shirt. These are silky smooth and comfortable! The first 1000 runners to register are guaranteed the long sleeve tech shirt. 1001 - onwards will still receive a Race to Space Half Marathon shirt but may not get the long sleeve technical shirt so don't delay!

Age group awards will be: 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
ALL runners will receive a SWEET finisher medal & shirt!
The course time limit is 4 hours. This works out to be 18:19/ mile pace. These are strict time cutoffs due to road closures and permits.
Lastly, the course is in the process of being finalized with the City of Huntsville but will be flat, fast and certified!
For those who register for the Saturday 5K they will also receive a t-shirt AND additional finisher medal! That's right, even if you sign up for the 1/2 Marathon on Sunday, you will receive an additional t-shirt (different design below coming soon) and finisher medal (also different design) for those medal collectors!
