Run with Kenyans: Kalenjin Heritage 5k run and 1 mile Fun Walk!!!

Join us for an exciting event that promotes health and wellness through community-driven physical activity. The 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Fun Walk aim to embrace diversity, foster unity, and celebrate culture.

Kalenjins of Kenya are globally recognized for their excellence in mid- and long-distance running, and also a tribe with the most olympians per capita. This year, they are proud to host their Annual Gotabgaa International Conference in Huntsville, Alabama (2025). The conference will feature current Olympians and former world champions—many of whom are expected to participate in the race.

Gotabgaa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and building strong community networks.

This special event will take place during Juneteenth weekend, making it a truly multicultural celebration open to all. Everyone is welcome!
