City of Valor 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

Celebrate Veterans Day with the City of Valor 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run in Leeds, Alabama. Known as the City of Valor for its three Medal of Honor recipients, Leeds invites you to wear your most patriotic colors and run through its historic downtown streets. This run is more than just a race—it's a tribute to the brave veterans and all who have fought for our country. Join us in honoring their sacrifice and showing your support for the heroes in our community as we run together through the city that proudly carries their legacy.

Start time for both the 5k and the 1 Mile Fun Run is 8:00 a.m., and the two races will follow the same route for the first half mile.  There will be police officers, volunteers, and signs to ensure that the runners are aware of where the two routes split. The 5K race is chip timed. All Fun Run and 5k participants will receive a finishing medal.  This is a pet friendly race (leash required), and the race is stroller friendly.  Every participating runner will receive a long sleeve dry-fit shirt.

5K Start and 1 Mile Fun Run: 8:00 a.m.

Awards Ceremony: 9:30 a.m. with community-wide pancake breakfast to follow

PACKET PICKUP:  RACE BIBS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP THE MORNING OF THE RACE.

T-Shirts: Long sleeve dry-fit shirts are only guaranteed for participants registered by November 4, 2024.  The 5K is chip-timed by Trak Shak. There will be one water stop on the 5K course.
