Event Description
Lace up your running shoes and join us for the inaugural Owens Cross Roads PTO Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run! This family-friendly event brings our community together to kick off the holiday season with fitness, fun, and school spirit.
Event Details
Start/Finish: 161 Wilson Mann Road, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763
Course: A scenic 5K loop through the Owens Cross Roads community (walker and stroller friendly).
Fun Run: A shorter 1-mile kid-friendly race for our youngest trotters.
What to Expect
- Free race T-shirt for the first 100 registered participants
- Professionally timed 5K race
- Vendors, food trucks, and activities for kids
- Prizes for top finishers in multiple age groups
- Proceeds support Owens Cross Roads Elementary PTO programs, events, and student activities
- Food Trucks and Vendors will be set up afterwards, for you to enjoy post race

Refund/ Inclement Weather Policy
All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Weather forecasts will be monitored leading up to and during the event for inclement conditions. The PTO Board and school administration will make decisions using guidance from the National Weather Service and local authorities. Any delays or cancellations will be announced as quickly as possible and posted on the the Turkey Trot Memberhub page, PTO Facebook, and via email.
Registration fees and sponsorships are considered donations to the PTO and will not be refunded if the event is canceled due to weather.
