Starlight Stampede Glow Run 5k

Get ready to light up the night! As part of the Frontier Day Festival in Plainview, AR, we're excited to introduce the Starlight Stampede, a 5K Glow Run. This unique night run is the perfect way to kick off a weekend of fun and celebration.

Join us on Friday, October 24, 2025, for a glowing good time. The kids fun run will start at 6:30p, the 5k race will start at 7:00 PM CST, and runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. The course will wind through downtown Plainview up Davison Street and back, making for an unforgettable experience. Come dressed in your best glow gear, whether it's a neon t-shirt, glow sticks, or LED accessories.

Awards will be given for the top 3 male and female runners and walkers. We will also do age awards for 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-30, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ for our runners and walkers divisions. So stick around for those at 8:15p.

Check-in for pre Register will start at 4:45 and go to 6:45p Friday 10/24.

We will have some same day registration available for $40 from 4:45p-6:15p but you are not guaranteed a shirt and medal so sign up early!!! 

About Frontier Day

 
Frontier Day is a cherished Plainview tradition that celebrates the town's history and brings the community together. Originally started in the 1980s and revived in 2007, the festival was brought back to life again in 2023 by the Plainview AR Community Events (PACE).
 

This year, we're making the festival even bigger and better! Frontier Day will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and features extended hours and new events. The day begins with our annual parade, followed by a wide variety of activities, including mobile cafes, shopping vendors, and games for the whole family. The festivities continue into the evening with a live concert by Hill Street Blues from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
