HIS FIGHT IS MY FIGHT

Join us for the "His Fight Is My Fight" 5K Fundraiser to support Tyler and his wife Sierra, and children Kamryn and Harry Schumacher. Tyler is a beloved member of our community who is courageously battling a rare and agressive cancer, Squamous Cell Carcinoma.   Tyler recently underwent surgery, at MD Anderson in Houston. The surgeon removed the tumor, a vein and a portion of his neck muscles. They are currently home but will need to make a couple of trips back to Houston in the near future.

This family- friendly event is designed to bring together friends, neighbors, churches, businesses and supporters to raise funds for Tyler's medical expenses, housing, food, transportation and any unknown expenses.  He has been told to anticipate six weeks of chemo and radiation, five days a week at MD Anderson, in Houston.  We pray that you stand with us in their fight against cancer and keep this family in your prayers.  Tyler and Sierra have requested a special prayer that he would be able to keep his appetite. He does not currently have extra weight to lose. 

In addition to the 5K race, there will be a kid fun run/walk to show our support for Kamryn and Harry.  We will also have a silent auction featuring a variety of exciting items generously donated by local businesses and supporters. All proceeds from both the race and the silent auction will go directly towards Tyler's medical care and recovery.  

You will also learn more about the renewal of RussVegas!  Tyler is a big part in bringing the much loved Russ Vegas Marathon back to Russellville.

Cost $25 for early registration and $30 day of event.  There will be a shirt and medal for all participants. 

Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely walk, everyone is welcome! Your participation, whether in-person or virtually, will help make a difference.  Let's lace up, hit the pavement, and run( or walk!) for hope, healing, fellowship, and community.
