Description
The Community Montessori School of Bisbee is excited to present the 1st Annual “Rattler Run” at the Turquoise Valley Golf Course on Saturday, May 18, 2019. This fundraiser is a family-friendly event that includes a 5K run/walk named after “The Rattler,” Turquoise Valley’s infamous 15th hole, and a 500 meter kids’ course called “The Slither.” We will also have food, music, art, and kids’ activities.

Course & Course Rules
The 5K (3.1 mile) course starts and finishes on the fairway of the 5th hole near the entrance to the Clubhouse. Runners will head east on the fairway and follow the chalked route as it meanders through the lush greenery of the golf course. Along the way enjoy live music and art installations. The course will finish with a climb up the 5th hole fairway heading west, ending just before reaching the clubhouse. The course is measured, but not certified.
The race is run on the fairways and golf cart paths. Studded or spiked turf shoes are allowed on this course.
In consideration of the safety of all participants, the following are not allowed on the course during the race: animals, skateboards, inline or roller skates, and bicycles. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, we encourage a headphone-free environment during the running of The Rattler.
Water Stop: There is one water station along the course. Water will be provided after the race and a meal package is available for purchase in the race store (please pre-purchase meals as we will have limited extra on the day of the race).
Race Packet/Bib Number Pick Up
Packet (bib number and promotional button) pick up on race day at the race location:
The Rattler 5K - 8:00-8:45 AM - Arrive in time to pick up your race bib before the 9:00 AM start of the race.
The Slither Kid's Dash - 8:45-9:30 AM - Arrive in time to pick up your race bib before the 10:00 AM start of the kid's dash.
There will be on-site registration (payment by credit card only) at pre-race and race day packet pick up, if the races are not sold out.
