The course at the Momentus Backyard Ultra features wooded trails manicured by the farm owners with natural foliage covering a dirt surface. You will find some infrequent roots but rarely rocks and we have selected this course to not be mundane, boring, and flat (because we know that does not describe you either)...but includes a few very small rolling hills while traversing in and out of the woods. You will love the course for its connection with nature, man made bridges over small creek beds, and its inclusion of unique portions including portions of the course circumnavigating around a corn field and a serene lake. We would rate this trail as a beginner and very similar to the more “organic” portions of Charlotte’s own greenways.
ALL runners must wear a headlamp or personal lighting after dark, no exceptions.
