Now in its 23rd year, the PartnerRe Women’s 5k Run & Walk is going virtual! While things may be slightly different, this is event is still one of the few female-only events on Bermuda’s sporting calendar. This year it will include a virtual 5k race for womem and a virtual 5k non-competitive walk. As always, the goal is still to promote female fitness, health, safety and self-esteem.
Since 1998, the PartnerRe Women’s 5k Run & Walk has raised almost $500,000 for female-related causes in Bermuda. These include programmes to fight heart disease, confront physical abuse, support rape victims, educate teenagers, combat breast cancer, and fund equipment and initiatives supporting the treatment of women’s health.
2020 marks 23 years of support for women’s causes in Bermuda and once again all entry fee proceeds will be matched by title sponsor Partner Re Ltd. and go directly to The Centre Against Abuse (https://www.centreagainstabuse.bm/).
Join the tradition of the last 23 years and walk or run any 5k route of your choosing this year!
There will be overall time prizes and also numerous other fun ways in which to win one (or more!) of the raffle prizes generously donated by our sponsors. Stay tuned to this page and http://www.partnerre5k.bm for more information leading up to event weekend!
Please note that in order to be eligible for a time based prize, you will need to log your virtual race time on Runsignup.com and then email email@example.com with proof of your running time from a valid fitness app. Suggested apps include RunKeeper, MapMyRun, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Nike+ RunClub, etc. More details will be available before the event weekend.
You must be a current resident of Bermuda in order to win a timed prize or raffle prize.
