🏃‍♂️ Registration & Packet Pickup

Q: How do I register for the race?
A: Register online at www.bluebonnetrun.com. Spots fill quickly, so don’t wait!

Q: What if the race is sold out?
A: If registration is closed, you can join the waitlist on our website. A lottery will begin on March 12th, and selected runners will be notified as spots open up.

Q: When and where do I pick up my race bag?
A: Bag pickup is on April 11th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tabernacle Church in Ennis, Texas (Gym Carport area).

Q: What if I can’t make it to bag pickup?
A: No problem — we’ll distribute bags on race morning as well.

Q: Do I need to sign anything before getting my bag?
A: Yes. All participants must physically sign a waiver before receiving their race bag.


📍 Race Day & Course Info

Q: What time does the race start?
A: Check-in begins at 5:30 AM. The first race starts promptly at 7:00 AM, so please arrive early to avoid delays.

Q: Can I walk the race?
A: Absolutely! Walkers are welcome, and you’ll have up to 3 hours to finish the course.

Q: Will EMS be on site?
A: Yes! Emergency Medical Services will be present throughout the event for your safety.

Q: Are pets or strollers allowed on the course?
A: No pets are allowed. Strollers may be permitted but must comply with USATF guidelines — please check back for updates.

Q: Are there water stations along the route?
A: Yes, there will be water stations along the race route and at the finish line.


📜 USATF Sanctioning & Race Policies

Q: Is this a USATF-sanctioned race?
A: Yes! The Ennis Bluebonnet Run is officially sanctioned by USA Track & Field (USATF), which means we meet high standards for safety, fairness, and organization.

Q: What does USATF sanctioning mean for runners?
A: It means:

  • The course is certified and accurately measured.

  • Rules apply at the start line, finish line, and along the course.

  • We follow national standards for age divisions, scoring, and conduct.

Q: Can I wear headphones or run with a stroller?
A: Headphones are discouraged for safety reasons.
Strollers may be allowed only if the course and conditions allow and they don’t interfere with other runners. Please use caution and follow USATF safety guidelines.

Q: What other USATF rules should I know?
A: Key points include:

  • No pacing from non-registered runners or bikes.

  • No animals (including dogs) on the race course.

  • All athletes must conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly.

  • Anyone interfering with the event or other runners may be disqualified.

⏱️ Timing, Results & Awards

Q: Is the race chip-timed?
A: Yes! All participants will receive chip timing for accurate race results.

Q: Where will race results be posted?
A: Race results will be posted on my.raceresult.com/333584 shortly after the race.

Q: Are there awards for top finishers?
A: Yes! Awards will be given to:

  • 1st–3rd place finishers in each men’s and women’s division

  • Overall 1st place male and female in both the 5K and 10K

  • Top overall male and female finishers in each race will also be added to the big trophy!


🚗 Parking & Logistics

Q: Where should I park on race day?
A: Parking maps are posted on both our Facebook page (@ennisbluebonnetrun) and on (@cromenonprofit) on instagram

Q: Is there a bag check or gear storage?
A: While we don’t offer a formal bag check, personal items may be kept near the start/finish area at your own risk.

Q: Can I volunteer?
A: Yes — we need and welcome volunteers! You can sign up right here on our site by clicking the “Volunteer” tab.

Q: Who does this race support?
A: The Ennis Bluebonnet Run supports CROME’s scholarship and mentorship programs, helping local students pursue success after high school — whether through college, trade school, or career programs.
