Don’t miss out! The ASHP Foundation invites all 2023 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition attendees in Anaheim to the inaugural ASHP Foundation Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Step out from the meeting spaces to enjoy a fun event – all while making an impact by raising funds to help move pharmacy forward. Bond with your colleagues, prioritize your health and well-being, and celebrate the pharmacy profession.
The event will occur on a paved and dedicated path at the Anaheim Convention Center campus. The event starts at 6:00 a.m., so you can participate before the main education sessions at the Midyear.
And even more exciting, we will have team competitions and prizes! Form a team with your friends and colleagues, and get ready for a fun and spirited competition. We will award prizes for the team that raises the most money and for the team with the most registered participants. If you still would like to support the event but want to sleep in on the morning of the race, we have the perfect participant category for you – Sleepwalker! You’ll still receive your race shirt, but you can support the event as you happily slumber.
Registration
Online registration for the Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk opens on Sept. 18. We recommend signing up as soon as registration opens, as the number of participants is limited to 250. Registration closes on the day before the race - Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. PST.
Race Fee: $50 + $4.80 registration service fee
About the ASHP Foundation
The ASHP Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and part of the ASHP Enterprise. The mission of the ASHP Foundation is to support ASHP by advancing the professional practice of pharmacists and the pharmacy workforce by funding research and education that improves health outcomes through optimal, safe and effective medication use.
Race Swag
Each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt, participant pin, and chip time.
Prizes
We will have individual prizes for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers and the top individual fundraiser as of race time. In addition, we will award prizes to the team that has raised the most money by the start of the race and to the team with the most registered participants.
Where do I find my finisher’s certificate?
Log into your profile on RunSignUp. Once you are in your profile, click on the "Results" tab and you'll see an option to "View Finisher Certificate." Right-click to print your certificate.
Packet Pick Up
All race registrants will get a packet with a Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk T-shirt and bib. We recommend you wear your t-shirt during the run/walk to demonstrate unity and teamwork across our pharmacy profession. You can pick up your packet on:
1. Monday, Dec. 4 from noon – 6 pm in the Anaheim Convention Center in Hall E.
2. Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the event starting at 5:30 a.m. in the Grand Plaza.
IMPORTANT: Each runner/walker must pick up their own bib and shirt onsite because there is a waiver that participants are required to sign in person. Transportation will not be provided to and from the race.

BECOMING A FUNDRAISER OR JOINING A FUNDRAISING TEAM

To Become a Fundraiser:
1) Click BECOME A FUNDRAISER on the menu to the left
2) First register as an INDIVIDUAL Fundraiser
3) Next, scroll down to CREATE A FUNDRAISING TEAM, JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM OR, SIMPLY CLICK THROUGH TO DO IT ON YOUR OWN!
In order to do any sort of fundraising, you first must register as an Individual Fundraiser. Click “Become a Fundraiser” on the menu to the left. Please note, you will also see a “Become a Fundraiser” button while registering for the race. Both follow the same process.
Next, Set up your Individual Fundraising Page. Enter your name, and fundraising goal, and create your personalized link. Use your name or something simple. If it tells you your link is taken, just add a number after it. Example: www.runsignup.com/chrissolano1. Add a picture and customize a personal message.

Join an Existing Team or Create a New Team
To “Join an Existing Team”, Click on the dropdown with the list of teams and select the team you wish to join. To “Create a Team”, Click the Create a Team button to activate the next step.
Create a Team Fundraiser
Fundraising is better with friends! Come up with a fun team name, enter your team fundraising goal, and personalize your team story. Once you create your fundraiser, you will be able to personalize it further (see Peer to Peer Tips for details on how!)
