2020 In-Person Race Cancelled - Virtual is ON!
In response to the recent escalation of the COVID-19 threat in Southern California, we have decided to cancel the 2020 in-person Fun Run. We are very disappointed that the in-person event will not be possible this year, but we believe this is in the best interest of the participants, volunteers, and community. We appreciate your understanding.
Unless you told us otherwise, you will be transferred into the Virtual Race of the same distance. We will still hold packet-pickup here in Big Bear for you to pickup your shirt and medal. If you will be up in Big Bear over the 4th, we encourage you to run your own race - you get to pick the time and place!

Join us for the 3rd Annual Big Bear 4th of July Fun Run! Kick off the holiday with a fun run at Meadow Park, a great place next to Big Bear Lake. (Insider tip: Great location for firewors viewing!)
A fun event for the entire family. We offer 3 distances - 5K, 10K, 15K. Win prizes in our costume contest too!

**2020 EVENT MODIFICATIONS**
As of June 10, 2020:
We are planning to host the annual 4th of July Fun Run in Big Bear Lake on Saturday, July 4, 2020! This year's event will be a modified format that adhere to social/physical distancing and health department guidelines.
Modifications will include:
-- Virtual option available
-- No spectators
-- 2-hour rolling start (no mass start, timing is chip-timed based on each runner's start time)
-- Limited refreshments
-- No finish line festivities
-- Race course may be modified
-- Overall and Age-group Awards will be mailed (medals will be received in-person)
-- Participants will need to follow all social distancing and face-mask guidelines
-- Anyone at-risk should not attend
-- If you've been sick, or exposed to those who have within a 14 day window of the event, please stay home.

Same day registration now adds $20 per person instead of our usual $10 additional fee. This is to discourage same-day registrations in 2020 so we can execute our social distancing plan better. So be sure to register early and save! The extra $10 will go directly to the SAR team.
