Remembering Our Grandparents - Day of the Dead 5k
With a theme of Remembering Our Grandparents, we celebrate the legacy and memory of our beloved ancestors. From sharing stories to creating new memories with loved ones, our Day of the Dead Fun Run - Remembering Our Grandparents embraces the essence of Día de los Muertos by reflecting on the enduring spirit of love, wisdom, and guidance of those who came before us. Let's come together to celebrate the spirit of familia and create cherished moments for our children to treasure!
Everyone is encouraged to dress in their Día de los Muertos outfits, spooky costumes, or wear the race shirt given at packet pick-up.
Day of the Dead 5k
Our race begins in the center of Old Fair Oaks Village before descending over the bridge along the scenic American River Trail toward Bannister Park. But brace yourself for the final stretch—a challenging half-mile ascent to the finish line awaits, where victory and a complimentary tamale await you!
