Join us for the Lions Diabetes Walk/Run & Craft Fair at the Group Activity Area in Woodward Park, in Fresno.
For the world you might be just one but for someone you are the world. We are raising money to make a difference in people's lives who are living with diabetes. With Lions Clubs International 100% of all proceeds for this event goes right back into the community helping out with people living with diabetes. By donating, running, purchasing, or having a craft booth you are the world to someone who is living with this disease. Help make a difference in someone's life. Lions Clubs International is the largest international non-political service organization in the world. It was established originally in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As of April 2015, it had over 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.7 million members in 190 countries around the world he Lions motto is "We Serve". Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. Much of the focus of Lions Clubs International work as a service club organization is to raise money for worthy causes. All funds raised by Lions Clubs from the general public are used for charitable purposes 100% goes right back into the community
All finishers get a t-shirt, awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female.
