LLS Bertman 5K &10K RUN/ WALK

Join us for a Fun Run (5k, 10k or virtual run/walk) to raise crucial funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Honor of Bert Vicchio (Bertman). The fight to terminate blood cancer is ongoing and 100% of the funds raised from the race will be donated to LLS.

Where: Nimbus Fish Hatchery (American River Parkway start line- going south) Parking is free, but limited. If lot os full, we recommend to park above the fish hatchery in lots on surrounding neighborhoods rather than crossing Hazel Ave.

When: Sunday January 21st, 2024 8:00am

Course Description: This is an out and back course on the American River Trail starting at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and moving south. THIS COURSE IS open and available to other river parkway users. PLEASE always stay to the left as walkers and runners on the bike trail. The Aid station will be at the 10k turn around; no aid station for the 5k out on course. There is NO BATHROOM at race start, please plan accordingly. There is a bathroom on course. 

Packet/Bib Pick-up is DAY OF ONLY. Starting at 6:30am, 1/21/24 at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery Parking lot. *Pick your race distance on race morning! There are no official timing chips. Times will be logged manually. We hope in future years as this fundraiser grows, we will be able to add official timing to this race. 

Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats will be available at check in. Awards (medals) will be handed out for 1st-3rd place male and female overall.
