Discover Lassen is a two-day fundraising event to benefit Lassen Park Foundation. The event focuses on encouraging guests to get to know Lassen Volcanic National Park for the first time or better than they already do. This family-friendly event is done over a two-day weekend with the first day focusing on the north end of the park (near Mazanita Lake) and the second day focusing on a Hike-A-Thon on the south end of the park (near the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center).
For Sunday's Discover Lassen Hike-A-Thon we are adding in a second trail to what we had last year. Not only can you hike the Lassen Peak Trail, but you can also hike the Mill Creek Falls Trail in addition to or instead of Lassen Peak for the same price! We want to see hundreds of peoples take to the trails this year, so pick the one that fits your abilities and get out there and explore! All registrants will sign-in at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center prior to their hikes. A unique commemorative patch will be given to the first 100 people that complete each trail.
We will have a fueling station at both trailheads with water and snacks to take with you on either trail (there will not be aid stations along the route). We ask that hikers please bring their own hydration bottle/camelback to cut down on waste. This fundraiser will benefit Lassen Park Foundation and its programs including the Youth Camping Program for underserved youth at Lassen Volcanic National Park.

The Mill Creek Trail offers hikers a more relaxed trek with beautiful views of Mill Creek Falls at the end.
