22nd Annual MRC-MEF Run for Education

The MRC-MEF Run for Education started in the fall of 2003 and has steadily grown every year. Entrance fees and corporate sponsorships aggregate to make the Run for Education the largest annual fundraiser for the Martinez Education Foundation, with the Martinez Refining Company as the primary sponsor. In addition, over the years the Run for Education has become a much-anticipated community event that demonstrates tremendous local support for all schools of the Martinez Unified School District.

We are excited to announce the return of Family Fun Night! This event takes place the Friday before the MRC-MEF Run for Education as part of a weekend full of fun for all ages, to benefit the students and schools in the Martinez Unified School District. 

We encourage all to attend.  Family Fun Night guests, young and old, enjoy participating in an evening full of entertainment, games, food, drinks, silent auction items, a raffle – and Runner Bib pickup!

For more than a decade, the Martinez Education and Martinez Refining Company, formerly Shell, have worked collaboratively to produce the MRC-MEF Run for Education. Raising nearly $1M for students in the Martinez Unified School District. This video highlights the 2017 Run for Education featuring more than 600 runners!
