The Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the 1st Annual Merced Cowboy/Vaquero 5K Run. This is a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk and Half Mile Kids race. It will start and finish in front of Bob Hart Square on Main St. The Kids’ race will be contained within a two-block boundary in downtown Merced and several volunteers will run with the children to insure the safety of all participants. The 5K Run/Walk starts and finishes in front of Bob Hart Square and all 3.1 miles are contained within the downtown area. You can see a map of the course on RunSignUp.com.
All those that register prior to May 6th will receive a race shirt. Those that register after May 5th or on race day, will get a shirt on a first come first serve basis. The event will take place rain or shine and there are no refunds for no-shows. Timing and results will be done by Buhach Colony HS Cross Country. Official results will be posted after the last runner crosses the finish line and on RunSignUp.com on race day. All Kids’ Half Mile participants receive a finisher’s medal! Age groups for the 5K are as follows: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ in Men’s and Women’s Divisions. Top 3 finishers in each age group will receive a medal. Snacks and refreshments will be provided for all participants at the finish area.
The Mercy Gulch Day is celebrated all day long in downtown Merced. It all starts with the Merced Cowboy/Vaquero 5K Run, then continues with music, crafts, and food booths on Main Street. Bring your family, bring your friends, and join us on Saturday May 20th in beautiful downtown Merced.
