Run for your Heart 5K

The City of Port Hueneme and the Port of Hueneme are partnering together through the Community Benefit Fund to host a “Run/Walk for your Heart 5K” event which is set to occur on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Hueneme Beach. Participation in the 5K is $10 a runner which will include a t-shirt and medal. Registration to participate as a runner closes on Wednesday, February 16th, or once we reach 600 participants! The event is intended to celebrate the month of February as “Heart Health Awareness Month” and the event also lends itself to Valentine’s Day themes. Costumes are encouraged! The FREE Health Wellness Fair following the conclusion of the race will be located in Parking Lot “C”; featuring health career educational booths, a children’s activity area, healthy food vendors, live entertainment, and much more.

Parking: There will be free parking in lots A & B.

Event Hours: 9:00am - 12:00pm

Weather: This is a rain or shine event! If it is a beautifully sunny California day, feel free to take a break in the shade at our craft table or in the food court area. 

Restrooms: We will have bathroom trailers on site, including an ADA-accessible restroom. 

Food: Healthy food trucks will be on-site offering food and drinks for purchase. This is a non-alcoholic event.

Runner Packet Pick-Up: Friday, February 23rd at the Orvene S. Carpenter Community Center located at 550 Park Ave, Port Hueneme, CA from 8:30am - 6:30pm.
