Peppermint Ridge, local businesses and the community come together for a morning filled with fitness, love and happiness. Participants run along a paved path adjacent to the Santa Ana River. This course is low to medium difficulty, perfect for first timers! The overall male and female finisher in the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K receive a special gift. Participant medals are awarded to every finisher in all races. In the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, placement medals will be awarded to the top three male and female in each age division. All 5K, 10K and Half Marathon participants receive a Sport-Tek shirt and back pack.
The half marathon course has “legs” that will be repeated more than in previous years. The good news is that this route does not go by the Water Treatment Plant.

The half marathon course will close 4 hours after the beginning of the race. At that time, all half marathon participants will be taken back to the starting point.
Every participant in the Half Marathon event will receive a participant medal. The first, second, and third place male and female will receive a placement medal. All participants in the 5K/10K event will receive a participant medal. The top 3 male and female winners in each age division of the 5K/10K event will receive a placement medal. All participants in the Half Marathon and 5K/10K receive a Tek Shirt. 1K is a non-timed Fun Run. Participants in the 1K will not receive a Tek Shirt.
We will do our best to give participants the requested size shirt. Participants who register after August 10th are not guaranteed a shirt or their preferred size.
The Charity Challenge will do its best to celebrate those who completed all three races by having the Charity Challenge Medal at the Run the River for the Ridge. If for some reason this is not possible, that medal will be delivered to all qualifying participants by the most appropriate means.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
