Chip Timing

Each lap will be recorded using a bibtag timing chip. Real-time lap splits will displayed on a TV screen at the S/F.

Runners need to complete the full lap within the event time limit to receive credit for the distance.

Aid Stations

Fully-stocked aid station every mile. You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte sports drink.

No personal "camping" tents are allowed at Crissy Field.  Canopy tents, tables, chairs and coolers are acceptable.

Portable toilets are located adjacent to the course near the start/finish area.

Cupless

In an effort to reduce waste and litter, Coastal events are cupless. We request that you bring your preferred means of containing fluids, including hot drinks, for during your run and at the aid station. Please make sure that it is not breakable and labeled. There will be a table to leave them. We will have some Hydrapak SpeedCup ($5) for sale at check-in.

Please note that there are no pre-filled cups of hydration at the aid stations.

Team Competition

Teams of 2-4 members will be issued a Race Belt to attach their team bib.. Each team member is required to complete at least one lap but they can complete as many, or as little, laps as they'd like. The team bib can only be transferred to another team member at the timing mat (S/F).

Award medals are given to the top three teams. All teams will receive a custom coaster with their team name and distance completed.

Awards Ceremonies at Crissy Field (at the end of each event):

12 hour – 8:15 p.m.

All participants will receive a finisher's medal and a custom coaster with their name and distance completed.  Note: After the start, runners do not have the option to change to another event (i.e., 12hr,  6hr, or 3hr).

Overall Winners: The top 3 male and female overall winners of every individual category will win an award and race credits to future Coastal races:

1st Place - $50
2nd Place - $35
3rd Place - $20

Top three finishers in each age group and gender will receive award medals.

Note: Overall and age group placing are based on Clock Time rather than Chip Time.  As a bona fide competition, runners should start at the same time and compete against each other on the course.  Chip Time is used so runners can see their actual elapsed time.
