Race Swag

Participants can choose from a race t-shirt, beanie, or athletic socks. Swag will be available to those who pre-register, and swag will be available for same-day registrants or to exchange after the race concludes, while supplies last.

About the event

Both the 1-mile and 5k will be timed. 1-mile finishers will receive a pin at the halfway point, and 5k finishers receive a medal. The top three men and women finishers in the 5k will win prizes.

Both races will run rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather!

About the course

The 1-mile route is mostly flat and paved, beginning at Discover Life and continuing up Forest Road and the Creekside Trail until the turn-around at the Alpine Trailhead Parking Lot.

The 5k takes participants down Forest Road to Stockton Street, then up to Washington Street for a run through scenic Downtown Sonora. The course takes runners up to Sonora High School before turning left at School Street and continuing to the Sonora Knolls neighborhood off Alpine Lane. Runners will then use the Creekside Trail of Dragoon Gulch to return to Forest Road for a fast finish. The entire course is paved with roughly 250 feet of elevation gain.

Signage and volunteers will be posted along the route to guide participants, but no roads will be closed. Participants should use caution and stay alert to traffic.

Friendly, leashed dogs and strollers are welcome on the course.
