CYCLE THROUGH THE VINEYARDS 2025
Temecula Sunrise Rotary (a 501c3 nonprofit) is again celebrating Spring in the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country on Sunday April 27th with our annual CYCLE THROUGH THE VINEYARDS 2025! And for our past participants, 2025 brings exciting changes! For the first time AKASH Winery and Vineyards will be this year's host venue for the start/finish, post-ride celebration and raffle! And we are again excited to award a raffle grand prize drawing of an AVENTON E-BIKE from AVENTON BIKES! And our local AVENTON dealer Bicycle Warehouse of Temecula has upgraded the ebike and warranty coverage to bring the value of this ebike to over $2,500! Secondly, this year we have added a shorter scenic guided tour route of 13 miles for our intermediate riders. While there is no way to totally avoid the challenges of the vineyards naturally hilly terrain, the shorter route is designed to better accomodate some of our intermediate level participants.
AKASH Winery is a local family-owned winery nestled amongst the gentle vine covered rolling hills in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. They will be offering discounts on their wines (both flights and bottles), craft beer and food for our ride participants! We are confident that our riders and guests will find AKASH to be one of the most stunning vineyard settings in our Temecula Valley Wine Country to commence and conclude this year's guided scenic journeys and post-ride gathering. We are truly fortunate to have such a picturesque location for our Cycle Through the Vineyards this year.

NEW FOR 2025 . . . 2 DISTANCE CHOICES . . . Choose based on your experience level!
18 Mile Full Distance or 13 Mile Shorter Distance!
This is not a race and will not be a timed event! There will be two planned routes. An 18-mile (approx) route for well experienced e-bike riders and non assisted expert road, gravel and mountain bike riders. If you are on any non assisted bike, you should be well experienced riding in varying terrain. Our pace target will be approximately a 12 to 14 mph average. We will also offer a shorter 13-mile route (approx) with fewer hills for intermediate e-bikers. While we welcome all riders, we caution those of you who may be new to e-bike touring as novices that there will be hills some may find challenging. These routes necessitate an understanding of the challenges associated with riding of diverse elevations. While the shorter route will eliminate some of the more challenging hills, there is no way to totally avoid some hills! The planned routes will both offer impressive views with stops to enjoy photo opportunities of our wine country and the surrounding countryside. Our leaders will also share some interesting information from time to time about what you are seeing along the route. Both routes will be mostly on lightly traveled paved roads, but there will be one short section of dirt road!
