Course Description and Map
Total Distance: 1.20 Miles
Elevation Gain: 57 feet
Start: The race will start by the Pavilion, near the entrance to the Denver Botanical Gardens.
Course Description: Cheesman is the shortest of our 3 park circuits, but what it lacks in distance it will make up for in great scenery and challenging terrain. Athletes will start with a brief incline, followed by a sharp downhill for well over a quarter mile. The middle of the race brings a sharp "stinger" up and down to break any rhythm you may have gotten in, followed by a difficult uphill finish for the last quarter mile. The course should be fast through a mile, but be sure to save a gear for the last hill!
Amenities: We'll have a water station at start/finish and portos located throughout the course. We will also have a timing mat at the 1 mile so we can get official splits. We will provide a $100 bonus to the first male and female athlete through the mile marker (per the timing system).
