The tradition continues! Celebrate Thanksgiving Day with family and friends while getting a workout.

Date: Nov. 27, 2025
Time: 8-8:15 a.m., (waves based on pace) 
Location: Start and Finish at Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave. Note: some mapping applications may route users to a different location. Please be sure to check the address and name of location to ensure you arrive to the correct event location. 
Standard 5K Cost: $34* (plus registration fee)
*Register early, price increases on November 13. Event-day registration is available for an additional fee if space remains.

Part of the Parker Parks and Recreation Run Series, the family-friendly Turkey Day 5K is a laid-back trot that starts and finishes at the Parker Recreation Center.  This event is not officially timed. Registrants receive a pair of commemorative knit gloves, a souvenir race bib and hot cocoa, cider or coffee. Participants can also redeem one free beer (21+) by showing their race bib at Bodega Beer Company starting Friday, November 28 to Sunday, November 30. Events participants can purchase previous year commemorative race socks, scarf, beanie and finisher medal (only available until 11/20) as add-ons during registration.

Strollers are welcome but because of the size of the event and for safety reasons, please leave dogs, bikes and scooters at home. The event is held rain, snow or shine; Refunds will NOT be issued.

Any proceeds from the event will benefit the Town of Parker Scholarship Program, which helps Parker families and/or individuals with limited financial resources participate in Town Recreation programs and facilities. 

Packet Pickup:   Monday Nov. 24 to Wednesday Nov. 26 at RNK Running and Walking in Parker during business hours. Event day, pick up will begin at 7 a.m. at the Parker Recreation Center.
