The King of Pain 10-miler is the toughest GRR training run in town and damn proud of it.
If you're looking to kick off the year with a serious confidence-booster, then here is your chance!
Not only is the event hard-core, but it's old-school. There's no school like the old school. That's what they say. So there will be no high-tech timing system (unless you consider popsicle sticks high-tech), no t-shirts, no bibs, no media coverage and no screaming fans. And definitely no glitzy finishers medals. Instead, we'll give you a strong recommendation for a well-deserved post-run tattoo.
And to top it all off, it'll be freakishly cold. So dress in layers and make sure that one of those layers is your bad-a$$ self.
Training Run starts at 9am at Hopewell school - 1068 Chestnut Hill Rd, South Glastonbury, CT 06073
Relay teams will consist of 3 slightly less painful segments: two 3 mile legs and one 4 mile leg.
Relay teams
You can team up with three running buddies for a relay race. Relays teams have four members in total. The three exchange points will be:
