The move to a new location, Rowayton's Bayley Beach, proved so popular we're going back there again. It's logistically easier than walking everyone up the hill to the start at Pear Tree Point.
The seaside course is fast, too - Joe Stillin and Joanna Thompson smoked 16:28 and 16:29 times to win their divisions and establish some pretty heady course records in 2021.
We're once again offering a "hybrid" format this year where participants can participate "virtually" or join us in-person on race day. Virtual participants can run or walk the beautiful waterfront course, or any 3-mile course anywhere, at their own leisure any time during Easter week and receive a Boogie T-shirt and can submit their times to the website.
In keeping with state guidelines for road races there will be NO IN PERSON PAPER REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY. Online registration will remain open until the start time; runners can register at home before arriving at the race site or on their phones there, then check in for their bib and T-shirt. Once on site, everyone is required to wear a mask when they are not physically running (warming up, racing, cooling down).
We're back to a normal mass start, but ask runners to maintain social distance prior to the start. After you finish, please keep moving past the line and do not congregate in large groups. Feel free to enjoy the view over the Sound - there is plenty of room on the beach to maintain social distance.
And good news, the chocolate bunnies are back as overall and age group prizes!
Proceeds to benefit the Rowayton Civic Association Summer Concert fund - feel free to support this great tradition by clicking the DONATE button above.
We're trying something different again this year - the registration fee will increase not on a predetermined date, but when a certain number of people have entered. So the first 25 to register pay $22, the next 25 pay $25, the next 25 pay $27.50, then $30 (Everybody pays $35 on race day).
