Thanks for your interest in the 2020 Duckling Dash! In an effort to provide you with the best race day experience possible, here are some important details for the day. The more you know, the better you are able to prepare yourself. Thank you for your participation. We are one step closer to adding playground equipment to our little school by the lake!

Event information

If you registered before April 30th, your event T-shirt will be available for pickup at the Duckling Dash Merchandise/Registration Tent outside of the track:

Stafford High School Track at 145 Orcuttville Rd, Stafford Springs, CT

Please arrive for 8am on May 16, 2020

Day of event registration

Bring a friend that day! Registration is available the day of the race for $30 adults (this does not include a t-shirt), Duckling Dash entry will be $10 for children. Kids will receive a medal for participating. Additional race day shirts will also be available for sale at each race for $15 adults, children are $10 and quantities are limited.

Sponsors

Please arrive at 7:30am to set up your table as one will not be provided for you. Feel free to hang banners, and hand out any items you would like. If for any reason, you are unable to pick up your shirt, it can be mailed for an $8 shipping and handling fee or picked up at the Staffordville School office in Stafford, Monday 5/18/20 after the race.

Race Schedule

Here is the schedule of events. We want everyone to have fun, be safe, and have plenty of room to run.

 7:30 A.M.  Sponsor booth set up

8:00 Bib Pick Up/New registration

8:30 Kids Stretch out

8:40 Kids Dash

9:00 5K Race and Walk Starts

11:00 Race Ends

 Footwear

If you’re accustomed to running on the roads, you’ll be right at home on the course. If you’re more of a trail runner, you might consider wearing shoes with a bit more cushioning.

Advance Pre-Registration Pick Up

There will be no advance bib pickup. Everyone will be given their bibs & chips the morning of their race.

Direction of Running

You will be running in the same direction (counter-clockwise) throughout your race

Dressing for the Race

Please dress accordingly based on the weather forecast

 Awards

Top-3 Men & Women: In each race will receive special awards.

Duckling Dash (Kids only) Finisher Recognition: Each finisher will receive a finisher medal.

 Hydration Station

We will have volunteers handing our water to the runners at our hydration station. Please help us by being as neat as possible, and throw things in trash cans nearby.

 Concessions

The concession table will be open for purchase, water, powerade, snacks etc. We will also have our school mascot at the race so come take your photo for a small fee.
