Welcome to Move FASD, a project of FASD United: The National Hub for FASD. From September 5-15, FASD United affiliates and advocates across the U.S. are hosting events inviting YOU to join the movement. Whether you run, roll, walk, dance, or cycle, Move FASD is about getting active and bringing visibility to the FASD community. With 5Ks, relays, dance marathons, and more, there’s a way for everyone to join in. Let’s move together, raise awareness, and show the power of our community in motion!

How much does participating cost?

Registration costs $10 for most events. Move FASD is organized by FASD self-advocate and author, Rebecca Tillou and FASD United, the national hub for FASD. Some in-person events are free as an agreement between Race Organizers. Proceeds from registration and sales cover most of the costs of materials, shipping, staff time, and the event platform. Sponsorships allow us to reduce the costs for participants even further. Donations benefit an FASD organization of your choice! 

No local event near you?

We have two options for folks with no nearby events. 

1. FASD United hosts a virtual event that can happen at your own pace, wherever you are. Team up with your friends and family in your neighborhood, or create an in-person race to welcome your local community into your event. Once you're done, let us know how it went!
2. If you would like to plan and share your own local event, please email Emma Baldwin at baldwin@FASDunited.org. We are happy to promote your event on the Move FASD site, support registration for your event, and send social media you can share beforehand.

How accessible is this event?

Move FASD started as a virtual 5K in response to COVID-19 so that our community could connect and get outside during an isolated time.  Our in-person events options are community-created and we advise that those event organizers familiarize themselves with the course they chose and communicate restrictions to participants. 

From September 5th - 15th, 2025, we invite you to join the movement and sign up for a Move FASD event.
