RACE DIRECTOR NOTE...Due to the increases in our Country in many of the expenses involved in this event (t-shirts, screen charges, medals, trophy parts, safety personnel etc...) we are forced to have to increase our registration prices.   For 35 year I have tried to price my events reasonable or in line with(usually lower) than surrounding events and we still are lower with this event than surrounding half-marathon's on Delmarva.    Thank You for your understanding...Race Director Tim Bamforth- Seashore Striders.

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

RACE AMENITIES: Long sleeve 100% Cotton Pre-Shrunk Race shirts, cool custom awards, great courses, NEW costume contest on Saturday for the Half.  FINISHER Medals to all runners in the 1/2 Marathon.

 COURSE CUT-OFF TIMES FOR HALF-MARATHON ONLY:

• At the 11:15 am start to the Awards Ceremony, there still may be folks on the course as the cutoff is 3:00:00 or an average of 13:44 min/per mile
  • Here are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off.

      • The 5m mark on the return is only 1 mile from the start and the finish so we ask that you be at the 5m split by 1:08:40 (13:44/per mile).  If you are over the 1:08:40 time at 5 miles we ask that you stop and walk back to the start/finish as you did not make the cut-off.   We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 13:44 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner.    Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

AWARDS:

  • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and large 4” medals to the top three finishers in the following 8 age groups:
  • 1/2m...19 & U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, NEW 80+

• Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact tim@seashorestrider.com to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
