RACE COURSE:

• Saturday's Half- Beautiful out & back "T" course through Cape Henlopen State Park ...Lewes Main Beach-to Lewes-To Rehoboth-to Lewes Main Beach.
• Sunday's 5k- Grove Park course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth 
  • 1 mile Fright Walk will start with the 5k and do an out & back on Henlopen Avenue.

PASTA DINNER OPTION & PACKET PICKUP:

• Packet Pick-up on Friday, October 25th from 4-6 pm
• Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant invites all runners to pre-race carb load from 4-6 pm as Irish Eyes has several pasta dinner options on their menu

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

RACE AMENITIES: Long sleeve 100% Cotton Pre-Shrunk Race shirts, cool custom awards, two great courses, costume contest on Sunday.  FINISHER Medals to all runners in the 1/2 Marathon.

 COURSE CUT-OFF TIMES FOR HALF-MARATHON ONLY:

• At the 11:15 am start to the Awards Ceremony, there still may be folks on the course as the cutoff is 3:00:00 or an average of 13:44 min/per mile
  • Here are your splits to remain on pace to finish under the cut-off.

      • The 5m mark on the return is only 1 mile from the start and the finish so we ask that you be at the 5m split by 1:08:40 (13:44/per mile).  If you are over the 1:08:40 time at 5 miles we ask that you stop and walk back to the start/finish as you did not make the cut-off.   We only pay to keep agencies (Police/Fire/Medic/Rangers) for so long and for your safety you must remain under the cutoff pace of a 13:44 min per mile which we feel is very reasonable for a half-marathon runner.    Please know that this is not a "walk only" event.

• Sunday's 5k & 1m walk- Grove Park, Henlopen Ave, Rehoboth Ave....Rehoboth

AWARDS:  

• Half-Marathon Classic
  • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 7 age groups:
  • 1/2m...19 & U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & O
• 5k Classic
  • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 16 age groups:
  • 5k...9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ 
• 1m Fright Walk...this is a non-competitive 1 mile walk with no awards

• Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact tim@seashorestrider.com to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
