Place

Description

Join the women of the Theta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at the University of Delaware for our Annual Step It Up 5K Run/Walk! All proceeds will go to Autism Speaks.

The race will be held on Sunday, April 12th at the Independence Turf on Laird Campus. The 5K is held during April, Autism Awareness month, to promote awareness as well as raise funding for Autism Speaks.

Autism Speaks has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disability. Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice. Join us in making this a possibility.

This year, we are offering discounted multiperson pricing (i.e. if multiple people in your family would like to attend) as well as discounted pricing for RSO's and Greek organizations. Take advantage of these options to save money and invite your family, friends, or members of your organization to sign up with you!

Before the race, we will have face painting, a DJ, and support from the Autism Speaks U Club on campus -- they will have their own table to help advocate for this important cause. Food and drinks will be provided.

If you cannot attend but would still like to donate, there is an option for that as well. Any donations are much appreciated!

Day of Schedule:
12 P.M: Registration Opens, Face Painting
1:00 P.M: Race begins
