Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery

Donation Goal: $1,000

Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery was founded in 1843 by Samuel Wollaston, who sought to build one of Delaware's first non-sectarian cemeteries, we remain on of the state's oldest, most historic active burial grounds.

The cemetery is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the monuments and grounds. There are approximately 22,000 people buried throughout the 22 acres. Some of the famous persons buried are Richard Bassett, signer of the Constitution and 13th Governor of DE, Hannah Robinson - early Wilmington Silversmith, Dr. John Wales, U.S. Senator and one of the founders of UD.

Thank you for your donation!
