Would you like to make a donation to The Angel Fund?

The Angel Fund is an independent nonprofit charity benefiting ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) research at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester.

ALS (also referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a fatal neuro-degenerative disease characterized by muscle weakness and a progressive wasting and paralysis of the muscles. There is no known cure for ALS, and death usually results from respiratory failure in 2 to 5 years.

Recently, Dr. Robert H. Brown Jr and the Day Neuromuscular Research Lab at UMASS Medical have seen significant accomplishments in their program to discover new ALS genes. They have reported finding two new genes whose mutations cause familial ALS and are internationally recognized for their work in the fight against this devastating disease.

Thank you for any help you can provide in our fight against this devastating disease. For more information, please visit
