New Water Fountain Project
The Minuteman Bikeway is one of the most enjoyable places for residents for healthy recreation activities, including bicycling, walking, and running. However, no water fountain is provided in the Arlington–Lexington section of the path. Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL) is partnering with Lexington Hey Runners Club to raise funds to establish a water fountain. Join us to make the Minuteman Bikeway a better summer-friendly place!!
Fundraising and Project Updates
We raised $3,307 from 99 donors towards our $7,000 goal for a new water fountain in Lexington at the 2022 AAPI 5k. We'll continue fundraising this year to reach our target. The Lexington DPW and Lexington Water Department have approved our water site near Bow Street, and we are working with DPW to purchase and install the equipment. The water fountain model will be Most Dependable Fountains' Model #10140 SM, which includes a pet fountain. We're grateful for your support and excited to bring this much-needed amenity to the community.
