The Pettengill House Inc.(Pettengillhouse.org) is a nonprofit community social service agency providing comprehensive case management, basic needs support, emergency assistance, crisis intervention, and wraparound programs and services for all ages across nine communities in Essex County, MA. The Pettengill House mission is to support and empower individuals, children and families by providing education, comprehensive case management, and basic needs; and by coordinating community supports that contribute to individual and family stabilization, personal growth and development. The Tough Warrior Princesses (TWP) provide support, comfort, love and resources to women affected by cancer. We are a not for profit organization based in Amesbury, MA and serve the north shore of Boston and southern NH. We have a board of 12 directors and have an ARMY of volunteers. When we learn of a woman newly diagnosed or facing a cancer recurrence, we arrange through a family member or friend to have a Survivor Basket delivered to them. The basket is filled with items one may need to get through diagnosis and treatments, items of inspiration and information on resources. We also offer a monthly meeting called Warrior Chats for survivors and their caregivers as a way to connect and get support. We host many events throughout the year to keep our network connected and supported.
A donation will also be made to the Salisbury Elementary School PTO.
