The Detroit Mother's Day Run/Walk is proud to support the America Cancer Society, a leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. The American Cancer Society is improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.  

We envision a future where our children no longer live with the threat of breast cancer and where everyone has a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive this disease. In 2024, the American Cancer Society expects to see 9,410 NEW breast cancer cases here in Michigan.
