SVdP Friends of the Poor Walk/Run/Pancake Breakfast

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) is a nonprofit organization which provides assistance to those who are in need. The Rochester MN District Council of SVdP helps those in need within the Rochester MN area. SVdP offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis.  It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. SVdP recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless.

The Friends of the Poor Walk/Fun Run/Pancake Breakfast (FOP Walk) is the primary annual fundraiser held by the Rochester District Council to raise funds to support its mission to assist those in need.  Nearly one hundred percent of all donations raised by the FOP Walk will go towards the mission of providing assistance to those in need in the local area.
