The Missoula Downtown Foundation was created as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2010 to help generate funds for downtown and Caras Park Improvements. The mission of the Foundation is to support and promote Missoula through enhancement of Downtown through vibrancy of arts and culture, livability, economy and safety: Commerce, Heritage, Culture, & Living.
The Caras Park Pavilion, located in the heart of Downtown Missoula along the Clark Fork River, is available for public and private events. The Pavilion can accommodate events ranging from a dinner party for 150 to a community-wide festival. The future of Caras Park is bright, but this special place needs continued improvement and investment. As envisioned in the North Riverside Parks and Trails Master Plan the Missoula Downtown Foundation hopes to develop the Beartracks underbridge space into a lively public park for all to enjoy. The underbridge project, spearheaded by Missoula Parks and Recreation and the Missoula Downtown Foundation, seeks to transform the space with ground surface painting, ping pong tables, cornhole boards, a basketball hoop, picnic tables, bicycle parking and creative lighting. Your contribution will help to make this vision become a reality and lead to the enhancement of recreational activities and art in the downtown core. Thank you for your consideration and support!
