About St Peter's: The St. Peter’s We Care House and Garden is a beacon of hope and sustenance for the community, located in a welcoming, easily accessible building. Visitors are greeted by warm, friendly volunteers who are dedicated to providing support and comfort to those in need. Through our partnerships with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC and donations from members of the congregation, the shelves are neatly stocked with a diverse array of nutritious foods, including canned goods, fresh produce, dairy products, and grains, ensuring that clients can receive a balanced diet. The pantry also receives fresh vegetables from the garden that is located in its own backyard. The St. Peter’s We Care House often partners with various community agencies offering guidance on healthy eating, meal planning, and handouts from additional community resources. The atmosphere is one of dignity, respect, and confidentiality. Overall, the food pantry serves as a vital lifeline, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among those it serves.
