Wylie was diagnosed with medulloblastoma at the very young age of six months. Early in her two-and-a-half-year journey, it became apparent that although she was receiving the best possible health care, there wasn’t many resources available to help us all cope with the challenges we would face. What we did find after lots of searching was scattered. One place would have one item, another something else, but no one seemed to focus on infants and young toddlers. As her treatment has been winding down, we have wanted to start something to not only honor WylieRae but to help other families. This is why we started WylieRae’s Love. Throughout much of her battle with cancer, she has fought with a smile, loving personality, and determination to overcome anything. Our main goal is to provide comfortable clothing for children with treatment in mind, loveys and stuffies to be a constant companion, educational and entertaining toys to fill in the down time, books and resources to help answer some of the thousands of questions parents will have, and photo sessions for lasting memories. As we are beginning, we are focusing on children in North Carolina. Our hope is that we can grow into providing these services across the country.
