A portion of your registration fee each year will go to The Camp at Findley and the Shawn Blakeslee Memorial Fund. If you would like to make an additional donation here it will be split between those mentioned above.
Shawn Blakeslee Memorial Fund
Shawn Blakeslee was a triathlete and a huge part of The Camp at Findley. Shawn was tragically killed in a motorcycling accident in September of 2022. We had met with Shawn at the very early stages of creating the Findley Lake Triathlon and he was so very excited about the prospect of a new triathlon in his beloved Findley Lake.
"Shawn Blakeslee was a key founder in the purchase & formation of The Camp At Findley. He had big dreams to save the camp from developers and keep the camp functioning as a ministry for many to enjoy. If you knew Shawn, you knew that he was driven, passionate, and accomplished whatever he put his mind to. Shawn had a big dream of building a large multi-purpose facility to continue to grow our ministry, program space, and add a gym facility. The Camp Team has begun taking steps to make this dream come true. This project will help us accommodate larger groups, do more activities with our campers and the community, and grow our office space. We would love for you to consider donating toward this project in memory of Shawn. Our desire is to keep his spirit of big dreams and vision alive here at The Camp At Findley!
Our fundraising goal for this project is $6 million. Currently, we foresee this project taking quite a few years to raise the funds and build debt-free. THE CAMP AT FINDLEY
Founded in 1936, Camp Findley has a storied history as a place where groups and individuals can get away from their regular lives to a place of fun and excitement, relaxation and renewal. A part of the Findley Lake community, the camp is situated in the village on 150 acres of forest and waterfront with lodge style housing and facilities for indoor activities and gatherings.
