In 1965, Neighborhood Services Inc. (NSI) was started through the workings of 12 different churches in the Columbus area and has been serving the University District and surrounding zip codes since its creation. NSI is located in an area known as a "Food Desert", with the nearest grocery store located more than a mile away. NSI provides a variety of services to help support the community and reduce the effects of economic inequality and food insecurity in Columbus. Some of their initiatives include their food pantry, special holiday programs, and financial assistance through the provision of resources relating to taxes and benefits.

This year, NSI celebrates 60 years of service to the Central Ohio community! In 2024, Neighborhood Services Inc. served 24,423 households in Central Ohio. Hunger is alive in Columbus, and every dollar helps. Your donation allows us to purchase nutritious food for our neighbors and sustain pantry operations.
