The Humane Society of Greene County is a local non-profit organization that exists solely on private and public donations. We are a registered 501(c)3 organization and donations are deductible to the full extent of the law. We depend on YOU, our donors, to enable us to do what we do – care for homeless and abused animals and to provide education on proper care of animals.

Our Pledge
We will do our best to match you with a pet that fits your lifestyle and the resources you have to bring to the relationship with a pet. We temperament-test our dogs to screen out those that are not ready for life with people. If you are unsatisfied with a dog or cat that you adopt from us, we will take it back.
