Your generous donation will go to the L3 Foundation whose mission is “Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer”.
The L3 Foundation was created to honor a boy named Landon. Landon’s 21 month battle against cancer started with an innocuous bump on his right foot. This bump was called rhabdomyosarcoma which is a rare soft tissue cancer. Throughout Landon’s life, he impacted many people and demonstrated everything he did with passion and a smile on his face including soccer, basketball, having fun with his friends and family, his countless magic tricks and of course fighting his battle with cancer. Landon was training for his first triathlon when he was diagnosed and unfortunately, he never got to complete it. Through the L3 Foundation, Landon’s family and friends have committed to honoring his legacy by helping other children and finding a cure.
Landon's Father, Scott, is an avid triathlete and continues to dedicate his time, energy and spirit to the L3 Foundation. He promised Landon he would make every effort to find a cure. You'll see a large group of kids who help make up the L3 Foundation at the Captain Kids Tri on race day. Most of them were close friends of Landon's and have an incredible fighting spirit! We all support their efforts to HELP DO SOMETHING TO END CHILDHOOD CANCER!
