Girl Scouts Southeast Florida’s (GSSEF) annual Thin Mint Sprint will be held at three separate locations with virtual options. This annual event raises funds to support local programs and services within the six counties we serve. Join us in-person (limited capacity) or as a virtual participant. The Thin Mint Sprint is open to the public and there is something for everyone. Even the little ones 8 years old and younger can take part of the fun in our non-timed Tagalong Trot 100-yard dash. Everyone who participates will receive a race bib, commemorative patch, finisher medal, and a box of Thin Mint cookies.

COVID-19 Safety - Please check your event emails prior to the race for additional details and requirements for each site.
- A mask is required to be worn at all times for in person participants while at the event except while on the race course (participants may remove their mask once they cross the start line but masks must be worn again after crossing the finish line).

There will be cones at the start to mark the distance between each runner by 6 feet. *Participants will be notified of their time slot prior to the race.
- If a participant, staff, or volunteer experiences symptoms, contracts the virus, or is exposed to the virus GSSEF will notify the County Health Department, participants, families, staff, or volunteers.
- Social distancing is required at all times within the race and park facility.
- Staff, volunteers, and participants must bring their own water, beverage, snacks to consume before, during, and after event. Water bottles will be provided at the water stations and finish line. Please do not throw water bottles on the ground.
- All registration will be performed electronically, and there will be no on-site registration. Please monitor your event email for specific packet pick up dates and times.
- There is no onsite awards ceremony, and we will be issuing awards post event.
- GSSEF will assess new developments related to COVID-19 guidelines and how they may affect their operations.
- Participants must leave the event area and return to their cars immediately after their event wave ends.
- In the event of bad weather--including but not limited to rain, lightning delays, etc.—participants, staff, and volunteers cannot congregate under tents, overhangs, or other covered structures in the near proximity of other gatherings or heavy foot traffic. Social and mass gathering guidelines must be maintained at all times.
Registration
Race registration ends at 11:59 PM March 3, 2021.
There will be no race day registration or packet pickup.
Registration includes a bib with timing chip, one box of Thin Mints, commemorative patch, and a finisher medal (first 600 registrants).

Awards
Awards will be given to first place overall and masters for both female and male. Awards will also be given in female/male age divisions three-deep for the 5K (age 8-70).
There will be no awards ceremony this year. Awards will be available for pick-up after the race or mailed.
Course, Timing and Scoring
The course is USATF certified. The 5K Run will be net timing by AccuChip Timing, USA. All participants will be issued a tag and bib number. Failure to wear a tag during the event will disqualify the participant from being scored in the results. There is a 90-minute time limit to complete the race. In addition, cutting the in-person course will disqualify you.
