Run Loops Around Cancer - 1 Mile a Day
Runners will complete 1 or 2 miles a day from February 14th through March 15th. Total mileage for a complete Virtual Race will be 30 miles for the base level competitor and 60 miles for the advanced competitor. Proceeds from the event will benefit joint programs run by the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) and 18Loop centered on providing Virtual Reality (VR) therapy to children with cancer. The ACCO and 18Loop are currently gathering data from their initial research study and results indicate that 91% of our kids report better mood during treatment with our VR. The ACCO and 18Loop hope to deploy VR to all children diagnosed with cancer.
