Firefighter "Live Virtual" 5k/10k

To honor America's brave Firefighters, Relevant Running brings you another of our signature "live virtual" races!

Join us on Saturday March 21st 2026 for the FIREFIGHTER "LIVE VIRTUAL" 5K/10K. This is no ordinary virtual race. It's a unique virtual running/walking event, with tens of thousands of runners and walkers who have already experienced and love our unique live virtual race format.  Among other things, there is a scheduled race date and start time (Saturday March 21st 2026 at 8am Eastern time USA), a virtual check in and start via text or Facebook live-stream on race day morning, timekeeping (runners will text screenshots or pictures of their chosen method of time and distance keeping), a private and active Facebook group dedicated to our runners and walkers. All participants will receive the one of a kind custom FIREFIGHTER 5K/10K race medal, with age group and overall winners receiving laser engraving of their time and placement on the back of their medal! (see pictures below for the medal and engraving samples from previous races)

******* If you cannot or do not wish participate on the scheduled race date during the race window (7am to 11am Eastern time USA on race day), you can absolutely still register. Please select the "medal only" option, and we'll ship you your medal about a week prior to the race date so you can run or walk it whenever you want.******

All registered participants should join our private Facebook Group for access to positive discussions and posts regarding our live virtual races and challenges, race day live-stream virtual check-in and virtual start (Please note: joining the Facebook group is NOT required to participate. You can always check in on race day via text)

Race Date live virtual check in and start time: Sat. March 21, 2026. Virtual check-in via text or live-stream in the Facebook group above starts at 7:00am Eastern time USA. Virtual race start at 8:00am Eastern time USA. The live-stream will be going while you are running, and we will be waiting for you to complete your 5k or 10k during the race day window of 7am to 11am Eastern time USA. You may check in any time if you wish to start later, but you should be done by 11am eastern.

Pricing includes US shipping, and the registration link is priced to include shipping costs within the Continental United States. Any runners/walkers outside the Continental United States may have an extra shipping charge, and will be contacted by the Race Director with the amount. Please note - Shipping is via USPS 1st Class Mail with tracking.

Timekeeping: Given the unique nature of each runner's situation, we will accept proof of completed 5k or 10k on race day (only) via text (phone number to be provided in pre-race info emails). For example: Treadmill runners may text a picture of their treadmill console. Or, phone app users may screenshot their completed run on their phone app and text the picture. Or, runners using a fitness watch may snap a pic of their watch-face and text it in. You may run in any way that is safe, legal, and ethical in your area. It is entirely the runner's choice, and responsibility to follow all your own local laws, directives, regulations, etc.

Results for those who choose to run competitively will be published in the Facebook Group.
