Light the Darkness 5K

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month! 

This will be the 2nd Annual Light the Darkness 5K working to Raise Awareness and put an end to Human Trafficking!

Our mission has not changed as we continue to raise awareness and funds that benefit the prevention, identification, rehabilitation and support of survivors of those who have been sexually exploited. This year we have linked arms with Called Out and ReleaseSARA who have partnered to develop the SARA’s Roots Initiative, an affordable housing and essential resources program for survivors of human trafficking in Brevard County. Proceeds from Light the Darkness will benefit this project. 

This is an evening out and back BEACH race that will start on the beach in front of the Hilton Cocoa Beach Ocean Front.

Head Lamps, Neon & lighted apparel and accessories are encouraged!

Add on the Private Official Get Outdoors for Freedom After Party! Appetizers and private cash bar.  Meet our sponsors, guest speakers and ally's from the front lines of human trafficking and learn about our upcoming Get Outdoors for Freedom other events! On the deck at Hilton pool side starting at 7:00 pm! 

All Participants will receive :

1 FREE Drink Ticket per race participant then Cash Bar and 1 FREE Raffle ticket for awesome prizes! 

This is the official launch of our Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series.  If you love the outdoors and want to contribute to the solution in ending human trafficking, you can walk, run, paddle or hike....All for the Freedom of others!

1/18 - SATURDAY @ Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 1550 N. ATLANTIC AVE., Cocoa Beach, Fl  32931
                                  3:45 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
                                  5:15 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes

                                  5:25 PM - National Anthem

                                  5:30 PM - 5K Start!
                                  7:00 PM - After Party Begins at Hilton's Longboards Tiki Beach Grille!

                                                   Music, Beverages, Raffle Giveaways and doorprizes (food optional)

                                                   Improved Monitoring for entrance to After Party! 

All finishers will receive a finisher medal.

AWARDS:

Awards in addition to medals to: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female, master male and female.

Prize awarded for best lighted participant! 

Fees:

$30 - 5K Race Only - Register Before midnight on 1/3

$35 - 5K Race Only - Register after midnight on 1/3-1/7

$35 - 5K Race Only - Register from 1/8-1/18

$65 - **Bundle** - 5K Race and After Party - Must Register Before midnight on 1/3

$40 - Only After Party - Must Register before 1/10

** We will be monitoring the "after-party" allowing only those registered entrance in to the "after-party" area.
