Sustainability

Central Florida Legends has been working hard to establish this event as one of the area greenest!!
Here are some of the steps we have taken to reduce our impact on the beautiful areas covered by our courses:
*ALL event shirts and volunteer shirt are made by @recoverbrands from recycled plastic bottles and up cycled cotton.
*We will only use paper cups at our water-stops (never plastic!)
*We invite runners to bring your own reusable cup, water bottle or hydration system. It can be filled quickly and easily during your race.
*There will be no individual plastic water bottles provided at the finish line. Cold water and Gatorade along with paper cups will be available to runners as you complete the race
*Recycle bins will be provided at the finish line for anyone who brings their own cans or bottles. Please look for them and use them only for can and bottles!
*We will provide sturdy compostable paper plates and compostable utensils for all post race food
*We are working with a local company to compost food waste
*We are providing paper cups for beer post race
*All packaging material from race supplies will be reused or recycled
We thank you for your support of these efforts and welcome your suggestions on how we can do even more!
